These reproductions are inspired by dolls found in European and American households in the early 1800's. Head, hands and feet are constructed of a durable composition clay. the primitive body is made of muslin. The entire doll has been given an antiqued finish. Hands and feet are attached with ecru ribbon, the upper arms are stuffed and attached to the dress separately. All clay parts on the doll are hand sculpted using no molds. Not a toy.This 18" doll is dressed in a muslin fabric with a tan satin ribbon tied about her bust. Her hair is painted white and sculpted into spin curls her shoulder. Her neckline is edged with pieced lace. She wears a full crown of aged ivory paper roses. The front of her bust features a faux black enameled brooch with tiny a sparkling crystal in the center and the tiniest of faux seed pearls circling the bezel. A gauze shroud is included, it can be removed to change appearance.She carries a separate 6 inch doll wearing black mourning clothes. She has a cloth body like the larger doll. This doll has an antiqued finish. The colors on the Ghost Doll are more of a washed tint to retain her ghostly appearance. Message me your choice of colors offered in each category.
